Potato Bake

A staple on our table and who doesn’t love Potatoes covered in cream and cheese!

Ingredients

2 Pkts French Onion Soup Mix
600ml Cream
1 Brown Onion – Sliced (use Mandolin)
2kg Bag White Potatoes – sliced (use Mandolin)
1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180°c
  • Use a large casserole dish with a lid.
  • Mix cream and French onion soup in a large jug
  • Place potato and onion in casserole dish
  • Pour over cream/soup mix and toss through the potatoes and onions ensuring every piece is well coated.
  • Bake 1 hour covered with lid.
  • Remove lid and scatter over grated cheese
  • Bake for another 30 mins until potatoes are cooked through, check with a fork to ensure potatoes are soft and cook longer if required.
